Testing & Inspections

Portable appliance testing, or PAT testing, is a significant element of any health and safety policy, and all employers, letting agencies and landlords are required to ensure that no danger results from the use of faulty electrical appliances.

According to UK safety regulations, electrical units should be tested every:

• 10 years for owner-occupied properties
• Five years for rented properties
• Five years for commercial buildings
• Five years for pubs and restaurants
